HART’s goal is to provide survivors of sex trafficking in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with safe crisis housing and 24/7 emergency support. There are very few facilities in the GTA that have the capability and capacity to care for survivors at the time when they need security and stability most, immediately upon being released from their trafficker when they are severely traumatized and addicted to the drugs used to control them. By establishing partnerships with the private sector, experienced service providers and all levels of government, HART will facilitate the construction of a dedicated crisis shelter designed specifically for the unique needs of survivors.
The HART team requested an identity that was strong, professional, approachable and communicative of their services. The HART icon doubles as a graphic home illustration when on its side as it appears embedded in the logo and as a heart when removed from the logo and tilted 45 degrees. This allows the identity to have both a strong corporate look and feel when the team is attracting potential donors and investors as well as a softer, more playful and approachable vibe when tilted into heart position to appeal to victims.
