Sarah created this logo design for a loyalty program for Trufflepig, a boutique Toronto based travel company, to celebrate and reward a select group of high-end loyal clients. The logo application was to be used on a series of custom luxury gifts, such as on wine labels, engraved into glassware and embroidered onto robes.
The Trufflepig brand has been carefully established as a mixture of elegant with a twist. They take their branding and marketing as seriously as they do their high-end client's desire to maintain a low profile while seeking unique once in-a-lifetime experiences. Their corporate logo was designed by famous Toronto designer Frank Viva of Viva & Co.
The typography in this logo features a customized "T", based on a photo of lettering on a vintage Toronto sewer grate taken by one of the company's founders, Gregg Sacks. The oak leaves that surround the letters are an elegant, playful reference to the brand, as truffles are often found at the foot of oak trees.
